Have you ever been talking with a Pastor or Worship Pastor and all they seem to talk about is production, programming, or how cool their coffee shop is? I'm sure we all have but it's what they aren't saying that should concern us.

While all of that "stuff" can be helpful, it should never be the main focus or get the majority of our attention and conversations.

Where are the conversations of truth, Holy Spirit encounters, the miraculous healing, and seeing the lost run to the altar to meet with Jesus? These are just some of what our church leaders in authority should be in deep conversation about!

I believe that it all of course comes down to the heart it all! Matthew 15:18 from the MSG translation says, "But what comes out of the mouth, gets its start in the heart".

I am not saying that if you talk about production or programming that you are away from God or spiritually lazy. What I am saying is that if you are not pursuing The Presence first and foremost in your life, then the "show" is all you will strive for. It will be an empty and powerless effort and most often than not, very cheesy!

But when we seek His Presence (Hebrew translation of "face"), He promises to give us the desires of our heart!   Matthew 6:33

At a very young age, I remember praying for more of His Presence and a fresh anointing on my life. He has always been faithful to pour it out and I'm so thankful for it! It is those times alone with The Father where He can do surgery on your heart and reveal more of His! The pursuit of The Presence happens alone with God! Where deep calls out to deep! Psalm 42:7

So ask yourself this question and let The Holy Spirit begin to speak to you.

Am I pursuing The Presence or Programming?

I want to challenge and encourage us all to seek first and pursue The Presence of The Lord above all else!

Celebration Doesn't Ignore Suffering

Recently we made a pretty significant theological breakthrough as a community, and it has changed everything about how we approach life and faith together: we realised that seriousness is not a fruit of the spirit.  But joy is.   You see there...
